MAN. Manuscript Collections

The collection consists of documents related to the Clayton-Evans families of Eastern Maryland and Northern Delaware.

The collection contains scrapbooks, album books, commonplace books, and cookbooks belonging to members of the Edward Johnson and Mary Ann Buchanan Coale family as well as to their extended family.

This collection contains one box of primarily land and legal documents regarding the Cockey family of Baltimore County, 1725-1908.

This collection primarily contains the incoming correspondence of Dr. John Paul Cockey (1796-1859) as well as some incoming and outgoing correspondence of Mordecai Gist (1743-1792). Also included is Cockey family genealogical data and a copy of a memoir of Brigadier General Mordecai Gist.

This collection consists of correspondence, journals, financial reports, minutes, and newsclippings related to the Cohen family. These materials are dated between 1773 and 1945.

The Cohen family collection contains correspondence between several family members regarding several topics including civil rights, genealogy, and Fort McHenry. The materials in the collection are dated from 1818 to 1945.

The collection consists of documents relating to several members of the Cohen family collected by Margaret Cohen. It includes material connected to Jacob I., Israel I., Colonel Mendes, Joshua I., Harriett, and Catharine Cohen.

This collection contains 28 volumes of financial records from Cohn and Brock Company, dating from 1882-1934. Also included are two boxes of bills, checks and correspondence, as well as one letterbook.

Col. John Berry was a decorated artillerist who served at the Battle of Ft. McHenry during the War of 1812. This is a collection of his papers, certificates, correspondence, and family history. The collection also includes a letter to Major General Winfield Scott.

A supplement to the existing College Club Records (MS 2555), this collection includes many of the same types of materials as its predecessor such as correspondence, meeting minutes, annual reports, and membership cards. This organization was founded in 1894 for the purpose of gathering together women with college backgrounds to socialize and exchange ideas.
