The checkbook in this collection contains stubs of personalized checks drawn by Samuel Chase on the Office of Discount and Deposit in Baltimore; shows amounts and purposes of withdrawals. Personalization of checks by means of musical notes on treble clef; other letters printed on staff.

Therocious Gray, 1972 October 4
Therocious Gray was a Baltimore "street arab" or huckster. In this interview, he discusses: Street vending in the 1930s; watermelon cries; the Harlem Square neighborhood; decorating horses on vending wagons. Audio includes prayer by Albert L. Paige and short statements by hucksters Willie Jones and Eddie Toatley.
