The Collection include portraits of members of the Yoe, Wack, Kalben and Wooden families circa 1890-1900 and views from around the state, including Baltimore and Western Maryland. Many of the photographs concern Bertha Wooden’s life in Washington County in the 1890. Views include church and Sunday school friends and activities.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Richard Childress Photograph Collection consists of 32 boxes of more than 20,600 photographs. The collection includes prints and film negatives dating from late 1950s before Childress joined the Baltimore Sun, to 1984, the year he died.
