DeCourcy Wright Thom photograph collection
This collection includes photographs of the interior and exterior views of the Thom and the Gordon family homes in Baltimore, circa 1892-1902.
Defence ship records
One volume containing records of ship Defence, commissioned in 1776 for defence of Baltimore. Included are dimensions of ship, names of crew, and lists of equipment from the Revolutionary period, circa 1776-1777. The volume was compiled in 1896 from papers in the Land Office of Maryland by Philip D. Laird (1847-1920), member of Maryland Public Service Commission, lawyer, and Speaker of House of Delegates.
Delphian Club collection
This collection contains 6 volumes of proceedings of the Delphian Club, and stories and poems, illustrated with watercolor sketches. One bundle of Folio sheets, expurgated, in one hand and unillustrated. (These transcripts made by Dr. John Didier Readel, Secretery.) The folder contains papers prepared for meetings of the Club, including papers read, essays and verses, together with miscellaneous correspondence concerning the Club.
Democratic City Convention Committee minute book
This collection contains the minute book of the Democratic Convention Committee, circa October 1856. Topics of discussion included the desire to restore Baltimore and the maintenance of suffrage rights for all qualified. The volume describes actions taken to procure military protection at the time of the 1856 Presidential election 1856, and notes that the present police force was not adequate.
